Honest, skilled and reasonably priced! I recently moved to Fort Pierce and needed a reliable place to take my 11 year old Toyota. My car has been showing its age lately with some rattles, squeaks and minor leaks and I wasn't sure where to turn. I decided to give Mike's Performance Garage a chance and I'm so glad I did! James, one of the mechanics and the guy who answers the phone, is professional, respectful, and takes time to explain things clearly without ever making me feel uncomfortable for not knowing much about cars. The last repair was a fairly large one - water pump etc. - and the next week, my car started making a rattling noise. I was dismayed, to say the least. I called and they got me in right away over my lunch hour to take a look at it. While I was waiting for their inspection, Mike, the owner, bought me lunch at the taco truck that's on his lot on Fridays - and Wow! It was delicious! Thanks again for lunch, Mike! When the car was in the hoist, I asked if they could give me their opinion on if I should start saving for a new car. Mike, the owner, actually took me under my car to show me the undercarriage, explain what he saw and give me his opinion about the condition. Turns out the rattle was a bracket that had rusted and come loose. Not a big deal and they didn't even charge me to fix it or for their time! He was patient, kind and professional and I drove away feeling much more confident about my car's reliability. If you are looking for a dependable local shop that delivers fair, on-time service, Mike's Performance Garage is the place to go!

Mike and his team were great. Took over another "mechanics" mess. Made the mistake taking my Ram 2500 Diesel to a cheaper/side job mechanic who made more issues than needed. Mike and his team worked until all issues were fixed back to normal. The quote "cheap work isn't good and good work isn't cheap" comes to mind here. Can't tell you how great these guys are. I know it's not cheap to fix anything on my SL convertible, but Mike goes out of his way to provide incredible service at a great price. Saved me a fortune on my power steering pump replacement... And had a private stash of Thin Mints we were able to buy to help the girls! The BEST auto repair experience I've EVER had. This family-run business is what I've been looking for my whole adult life! They make you feel like family, and treat your vehicle as if it were their own! And they are also specialists in Hybrids!

Our family was passing through the area when we filled up w bad gas at local gas station. We became stuck, were unable to obtain a tow truck for over 24hrs, and every time we turned around we had poor service and more crisis w everything we did. What started as a 1 day trip turned in to a 3 day nightmare. The bright light and saving grace in this situation was Mikes!!! From the first phone call we felt like we were talking to friends that wanted to assist us w getting back on the road, and not take it as an opportunity to price gouge. They called back in a matter of mins w a reasonable price and assurance that they would make adjustments to their schedule to accommodate us if we decided to use their shop. They got our car at closing time on Monday, and advised that they would make us priority the following morning. They didn't over promise and under deliver. Our tank was dropped, everything was dried and treated, and they drove the car to insure they hadn't missed anything. They called us around 11AM and we were safely back on the road by lunch. Mikes is trustworthy, staffed with talented and kind folks, and if I lived close they would be my go-to for maintenance and repair! Highly recommend!!!

Mike greeted me with a practical joke and got me good! That was a good sign for me. He then was able to squeeze me in for a quick air conditioner service. I asked him to investigate why my display unit wasn't working and while troubleshooting he determined the auxiliary battery was faulty. The display unit did not power up so he needs to diagnose that issue said he may not have it ready for my weekend trip. He was able to recharge the air-co and replace the auxiliary battery and let me use the car this weekend. Will definitely bring back the car to finalize the issue when we return from our weekend trip. So I believe I paid a fair price for having cold air again and the auxiliary battery replaced.

My air conditioner started making noises and blowing warm air, and I was dreading the potential cost and inconvenience of getting it fixed. However, as usual, Mike dealt with the issue with professionalism and a genuine commitment to solving my problem without gouging me with a costly repair. Mike diagnosed the issue and explained it to me in terms I could understand, which I really appreciated. Daughter had some clunking in front and was concerned so I gave mike a call and asked if he could squeeze it in and at least see what it was..we got car there next morning and he was able to get it on lift and found issue..no ridiculous parts list of repairs, just a simple honest evaluation and had it done that day for a minimal labor charge..highly recommend b4 going elsewhere..

In autozone they tell us the car had a problem with a piece that was brand new, and the car was full stop, and they told us they could put a new piece for an amount that they were not sure the car will work so they did an diagnostic for us and find the problem, cheaper and faster, if you need a stop for check, this guys are the best.

This is going to be my go-to shop from now on. Very professional and very knowledgeable. Not a bunch of Yahoo's throwing pry bars at one another or beating on your engine with a 3 lb sledge hammer. Had issues with Nissan frontier bought used, trouble with idle and rough running.... They went through the TPS and though the had it, but after full warm up the problem remained. Had some car troubles. They were very helpful , being that it is the holiday time he gave me a discount which I appreciate. They are willing to work w/you and are very informative in regards to helping you learn your vehicle. Inside the waiting area they have a lot of info posted to help people in st.lucie county with tires,batteries, oil changes, to people in need. We have all been there before, so knowing there is a resource like that is awesome. They have a warranty program so whatever you get done at the shop is covered. Overall, it was a great experience given the situation lol. I would recommend this place if you ever have car problems and/ or need a consistent/quality mechanic(s). Oh, if you end up needing a rental they charge, I believe $25/day, dont know any more details though.

When my 2014 Duramax powered Silverado was diagnosed with chronic emissions malfunction disease (EMD), I was advised by the bandits at Dyer Chevrolet that they were unwilling to ask Chevrolet Corporate for some help with the required surgery and organ replacement costs. A second opinion confirmed that Chevrolet provides a program whereby its dealers can go the extra mile to administer some relief to patients who do not have vehicle health insurance. But that would require some effort that this dealer was unwilling to explore. Two local recommendations steered us to Mike's Garage. After several conversations, discussing options, a plan was formulated for the cure. During these talks, it became apparent that these guys knew what they were talking about when it comes to complex automotive tasks. The resulting repairs provided me with a completely renovated power plant, one that was no longer hindered in its performance. The operation was not inexpensive, but came with a one year warranty and personal backup/follow up from Mike and his equipment vendors. I'm pleased and confident, and you will be too. This family run business is friendly, honest, and has great integrity. The bonus to this experience is that we have made some more nice friends here in Ft Pierce Thank you Mike, David, and Mom. I felt compelled to write a review after my experience as a recent customer at Mike's. I own a 2008 Ford Edge with 292,000 miles on it and haven't exactly been the best with maintenance over the years. I haven't had to because it's been quite dependable. However, I finally did have a big enough issue requiring the services of a full service mechanic and was lucky enough to discover Mike's. Mike and his technicians are what all garages and mechanics used to be, but should always be: honest, reasonable, and competent. Mike and his guys are all of these and then some. Their shop has an old school feel, but they are completely knowledgeable with today's automated and computerized systems in our vehicles. My car could probably use a thousand little things because of age and condition, but Mike focused on my original problem - a sudden and severe oil leak. During the repair, Mike and his guys discovered a couple of small things that took very little time or money to address and not only did I get my vehicle back with the original problem resolved at a very competitive price point, but my old Ford came back to me idling smoother and running better than when I dropped it off. Mike and his guys are honest, efficient, professional, cost-conscious and knowledgeable. You would be hard-pressed to find a better local garage to take care of you.

if you're looking for a down to earth shop mikes is the place to go. he goes above and beyond for his customers. our car had quite a bit of miles on it and knew it probably wouldn't last much longer and wanted to avoid that at all cost. mike agreed with us and hooked us up with a friend at a dealership and helped us get into a new car. he even came to the dealership and helped us pick the perfect. he stayed with us for hours to make sure we got the best deal. after he called to see how we were doing and make sure we were happy. he was so excited for us. they say it's not what you know it's who you know and we're glad we know mike!

These guys are the best in the Treasure Coast they are honest and try very hard to get the job done I brought in my 2012 Volkswagen Routan which was having electrical problems and they work hard to get my family and I back on the road it had electrical problems that was going to cost me over $1,000 but these guys save me a whole lot of money and vehicle I would definitely be bringing my vehicles back to them. Man what can I say about these guys. Mike is top notch. I recently had my oil changed by Lube Direct in PSL and was a total joke. The ended up stripping out my oil pan plugs and put a temp fix on it without letting me know. I have a high mileage, Korean sports car with a manual 6 speed, that's driven constantly. I had been experiencing problems, and it got so bad that I knew disaster was just a shift away. I found Mike online by reading the reviews of other customers, I called him and took the car in. They put it on the lift and told me I'd get a call with a diagnosis and a quote. I was 10 hours from home in S.C., broke down on new years eve! Noticed Mikes Performance Garage on the internet, so called Mike and the guys up. Pierce and it detached my wheel from the axis. I was stranded on the Turnpike, family was far away, and Who to call. He gave me the name of the Hertz rep and their phone number so there would be a car waiting for me when I dropped my vehicle off at the garage. I WAS IMPRESSED! I can't remember the last time that I was treated with such care and kindness. He made me feel like I was their only customer and I mattered. The tow truck took a very long time to arrive so I knew what to do because the garage would be closed. SURPRISE!!! Juan was still there and I met Mike- the owner - and his mom was there too. They were all very kind and very assuring that all would work out. The car rental place closed on me but I called for my son to pick me up form WPB and Mike's mother offered to give me a life back to I-95 so my son would not get lost. So my car which was gone for 6 months after being hit while parked. The people said it would be finished in 3 weeks in March. 6 months later I get it and they never took the fuel out of the car and it corroded inside and blew the fuel pump. Also they never started it for months. After moving out of my place to move 1000 miles to New York I had to run to Miami. I head down and my fuel pump goes I'm shaking and pull over. I get to mikes garage and I have no money because first I left my wallet, two I spent it on on my move and thought that was the last thing I had to deal with. It was a expensive job sort of. And I couldn't afford another situation after a 1500 dollar move and I just spent my savings on fixing my car which cost about 4000 in repairs and parts. They said don't worry we will fix your car for the lowest most affordable price. I cried in the place because I love my car and I have just had a rough few months being burglarized from my business and having to move out and being in accidents without moving. It's just a lot of random events. I also wasn't working so I had no way to make more money. Well I made the money in about a week and paid it and I just drove to Miami two hours no problem she looks and sounds great. All I can say is thank you so much because I felt defeated at this point. Very recently, I had the unfortunate experience of finding myself, in a town where I didn't know anyone and in dire need of mechanical help with my work van. We had the car towed to Mike's instead. They worked their tails off to fix her car and get our girl back on the road for considerably less money. They did a great job, worked fast and for a great price. They definitely helped a worried mom from Michigan. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Mike's to EVERYONE!! I was in the middle of moving when my car's AC went out. Mike's Garage was able to get me in quickly and I saved a ton of money compared to what the dealership was trying to charge me. They replaced the condenser and added UV dye so any future issues will be easy to detect. He was super helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend coming here for auto issues!

They quickly analyzed the a/c problem, ordered the part, and fixed it during a hot spell. Everyone at the shop was helpful and friendly and did what they promised. Plus, they have very fair prices. I went in for an oil change and they were so accommodating and helpful. They fit me in without an appointment, and quickly fixed a problem that 4 others had ignored! Mike made a point of thoroughly explaining what they were doing and what services are needed in the near future. They even doubled the brake pad warranty for no charge! The experience was very positive and I trust them to do a fabulous job every time I bring my car in.
